Youre Your Welcome Stamp

Description

I know there's an anti-"saying thank you" stamp going around, and that's fine. People are entitled to their opinions, but I'm going to keep saying thank you because I feel like its the right thing to do when someone takes the time and leaves a nice comment (or maybe a generic one that I STILL appreciate) or faves one of my deviations.

I never really expect a "you're welcome" back when I express my gratitude for a nice comment. But I think it's funny when people respond and say "your welcome"...

I realize it's the internet, and people don't even type in real words, and people have even made up imaginary words, and that some of those people even use those imaginary typed-up words vocally in real life (which is awkward -- 'double-u tee eff' doesn't really mean anything to me when it's said out loud) ... but I think it's never been more clear to me since joining dA that in the virtual world people still don't know the difference between "your" and "you're."

So here it is:

You're welcome = You are welcome (the apostrophe takes the place of the "a" and the two words become one, You + are = "You're)

Your welcome = ... ? My welcome? Saying this means that you're pointing out an object of mine, and in this case, my welcome. It would be like saying "Thank you," "Oh, your toaster." "Oh yes, that's my toaster."

So in summary: it's "You're welcome." That's all. Even if you don't know how to use the different yours, try to brainwash yourself into using this one because it'll always be the you+are version when you're saying "You're welcome."

Disclaimer: Written in a slightly sarcastic tone with a little bit of good intention behind it. Honestly, I appreciate all comments, thank yous, your welcomes, you're welcomes, and your toasters.
